The McCall area is home to Idaho’s best powder. Served by three ski hills, visitors and residents are able to easily hit the slopes whenever the urge arises.
Located high in the mountains of Central Idaho, a short drive from McCall, Brundage Mountain is best known for its powder-packed glades and luxuriously wide groomed runs. With the mountain receiving over 320 base area inches of snowfall each year, Brundage has an undisputed reputation for the Best Snow in Idaho™.
Little Ski Hill
Built in 1937 to provide recreation for area forest workers, the Little Ski Hill has provided activities for the region’s youth and skiing community for over 65 years. Located two short miles outside of McCall, on highway 55, this small facility has much to offer, with an alpine hill served by a T-bar providing 405 vertical feet of terrain. This is the only lit ski and snowboard hill in the area. Also offered are 30 kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails located at their new facility, the Little Bear Basin.
Though the future of the resort is unknown, the mountain remains open for ski and snowboard enthusiasts. Served by two high speed quads, Tamarack Express and Summit Express, the mountain offers 2800 feet of vertical drop. With its East-facing slope and minimal wind, snow retention is good. Enjoy diverse terrain: glades, steeps, cornices, and cruisers.
