Growing up my family would go camping as often as we could each summer. We lived in western Washington at the time and would drive a few hours to our favorite spot on Riffe Lake. At first it was just our family. Then one of my dad’s brothers bought an RV and began to come with us. As time passed more family purchased RVs or tents and made the trek to Riffe.
I remember many weekends when there would be at lead twenty of us together. We would hang out, play with the boats and jet skis, eat, and sit around the campfire. Looking back at my childhood these were many of my fondest memories.
Today families are so busy we find too little time to enjoy one another’s company. And there is no time better to achieve this then when camping, especially if you can find a spot with no cell service or WiFi!
The McCall area, where our family now frequents, offers many great spaces for families to build their memories.
